Tronics Microsystems transforms its customers MEMS concepts into high performance reliable products for their demanding applications. The company ensures the design for manufacturing, industrialization, production, assembly, packaging and testing of custom MEMS products. Activity and products developed and manufactured by the company include high performance inertial transducers - accelerometers and gyros - ultra-miniature capacitive MEMS pressure sensors, electrostatic optical MEMS micro-mirrors components and microfluidics devices for fluid handling and biochemical detection.

Tronics Microsystems has acquired a leadership in the production of high value-add custom MEMS components on SOI. Tronics Microsystems was the first company to propose a standard manufacturing process of SOI surface micromachining on a Multi-Project Wafer Service in 1999. In 2006 the company upgraded its MPW technology to a state-of-the-art 60µm thick SOI surface micromachining with hermetic wafer level packaging. This technology is proposed for training through the STIMESI programme.

The company is based in Crolles, France, where it has a 1350m² manufacturing facility including 6" wafer MEMS processing, components asembly, packaging and testing. The facility is close to the Minatec centre which is the largest European pole of R&D in MEMS and micronano technologies.
