Welcome

A continuation of the STIMESI project has been selected by the EC for funding for the period 2010 and 2011.
The website will be updated during the next weeks when the project has been contractually approved by the EC
The STIMESI training course schedule for 2010 will be announced on this website very soon.

The aim of STIMESI is to stimulate and further increase the Microsystems design activities in European universities and research institutes. STIMESI organise and run MEMS training courses that concentrate on the design tools, design kits and processes that are readily available through EUROPRACTICE.

The STiMESi-2 partners are:

IMEC, Belgium. IMEC is the coordinator of the STIMESI project. IMEC is Europe's largest independent microelectronics research center and performs scientific research which runs 3 to 10 years ahead of industrial needs. IMEC manage the EUROPRACTICE IC Service offering cost-effective access to IC and MEMS technologies.

STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, UK. STFC is engaged in a wide range of scientific, engineering and technological research. STFC manage the EUROPRACTICE Software Service and provide over 650 European universities and research institutes with a wide range of cost-effective design tools from leading vendors.

MEMSCAP, France. MEMSCAP is a leading MEMS company and provides innovative products and solutions. MEMSCAP offer a complete range of services from design to prototyping and high volume manufacturing. MEMSCAP offers three unique stand-alone multi-mask MEMS processes: PolyMUMPS, SOIMUMPS and MetalMUMPS.

COREP, Italy. COREP was formed by an initiative between the Politecnico do Torino, DEC, Fiat, Olivetti and IRI. COREP is an experienced user of a range of MEMS design flows and processes. COREP has been a partner in several EC projects such as MicroBuilder and EuroTraining.

The project is running in close cooperation with Europractice Europractice logo
