Second STIMESI Workshop on MEMS and Microsystems Research and Teaching

Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, Germany
18 November 2008

This page is about the second STIMESI workshop which was held in Berlin.

This one day workshop brought together researchers, teachers and practitioners in MEMS.

The overall feeling among participants was very positive. The presentations and the presentation material were highly appreciated. A high number of participants were very positive about the location, the venue and in general the overall quality of the workshop and workshop organization.

The workshop attracts a mixed audience: people who are involved in MEMS and new to MEMS, people who are interested in general topics and other who prefer specialized talks, …
nevertheless, most attendees plan to have activities in MEMS.

The format of the workshop consisted of a series of short lectures by invited speakers and presentations, delivered by researchers and students selected from submitted abstracts.

Topics addressed by the workshop comprised: microfluidic systems, RF MEMS, capacitive and piezoresistive sensors, and best-practice in microsystems teaching.

Take a look at the workshop program where you can find the recorded presentations and the handouts for reviewing and use after the workshop.
You are encouraged to use this material for educational purpose.
